HOME AT LAST!

Well, the Kentucky Girls are in Kentucky finally! It's so wonderful to be home. We'll be here until the 22nd of June. I'm sure time will fly, but it's so cool to know I've got a few weeks this time. A week or even two is just too short to visit everyone. Jason flew home Sunday so he could go back to work. He picked up Lexie at the kennel and all is well.

Better run for now. I'm being paged to change a stinky diaper....

Top tooth!

You can see that top right tooth coming in if you enlarge this picture. It took quite a few attempts to get this... There are several blurry pics of us tossing her up trying to get her to smile big enough to see the tooth.


Counting down the days to going home! Only 6 more!!!!!!!

Quick note

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. This was my first one obviously. We ate at a seafood place, went to the mall and I bought some jeans, and went home. Jason gave me two sweet cards from him and Maddie and a "Mom" necklace. It's very pretty, but when I put it on Maddie touched it and broke the chain. Gotta get that fixed. My mom sent me some flowers which are still doing well. It still seemed so odd to celebrate for me rather than my mom/grandmother/etc.

Looks like I need another surgery to get out some fibroids, but I'm going to get a second opinion while I'm home. The doctor here said it would be like a recovery from a c-section. I've been there, done that and don't want to do it again anytime soon. I can't have it done out here anyway because I'd need help with Maddie for a couple of weeks. I cannot wait to get all this crap taken out of me one day....

Here are some pics of the Madster. She's somethin' else. She's moving around everywhere! The first pic is her 9 month Sears shot. She's got a top tooth poking through now too. I think you can see it in the last picture.

Happy 9 months Maddie!

It seems like a day or two ago I posted "Happy Birthday Maddie" for her 8 months mark. It's already May 1st! This last month really flew. Hopefully this month will too, only because we get to come home on May 26th!!!! I'm so excited! We've not really done much of anything interesting here. The weather has been overcast and rather cool. I'm looking forward to the sun appearing soon. Hope everyone is doing well.

Pet Expo

This past Sunday afternoon we went to the Orange County Pet Expo. They have over 1,000 animals, plus cool stuff like petting zoo, pony rides, product booths, etc. It was a rather windy day, but the sun was out most of the time. We saw all kinds of really neat things. The Anaheim police did a demonstration with their canines. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those German Shepherds. Of course Maddie and I went into the petting zoo. We made friends with a sheep named "Hope" and a goat whose name I didn't catch. We saw many different breeds of cats and dogs. They had a large adoption area but we didn't linger considering it's too hard on the heart if you know you can't have another pet.

Easter pictures as promised

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone! I hear it's been very cold in Kentucky. I hope it doesn't ruin the blooming trees, flowers, gardens, etc. Jason remembers a picture of him when he was really little and his birthday fell on Easter. There was several inches of snow in the picture. I'm glad you didn't get that much! It was 68 degrees here today. The sun came out for a while, but the marine layer made it very cloudy. We went out to eat at Marie Calenders for our Easter dinner. It sure didn't feel right. You can't beat my mother-in-law's cooking. Her mashed potatoes are out of this world which are my favorite...


Maddie got a basket from the Easter Bunny. It had several plastic eggs, a book about the Easter story, and her very first Easter Bunny. No chocolate this year!!! Just wait till 2008!!!



Well, gotta run. Maddie is not interested in watching me type right now. I'll post some more pictures later.
