Well, Jason has gone to Chicago and then Toronto today and tomorrow. That means Maddie and I are on our own. I really hate when he has to go. I know many moms who take care of kid(s) by themselves all the time so that makes me feel wimpy. It just helps so much when he comes home to know that I can think of something else for a few moments other than what Maddie is doing or what she needs at that very second. Just a little breather. We'll get through it. Now, if the electricity goes out again, I'm loading Maddie and Lexie up in the car and we're heading for the hills.
Maddie just started carrots as her first veggie and we need to go to the store to get some more today. We also need the usuals, formula and cereal. She seems to like carrots but the bad thing is that it stains her bibs and anything else she touches after she's eaten. What a mess! I know that's part of feeding a baby...
It's really pretty out today. I think it's supposed to be in the upper 60's and clear. It sure feels strange to be outside during February and not be covered head-to-toe in winter garb. It's nice and all, but there's something to be said about being snowed in with a pot of chili and watching movies. Very cozy!
